Staff Sewing Fun

Yesterday morning our staff here at Seams Like Home got together for some one on one time with the Bernina 830! Because these wonderful machines can do so many things it helps our staff keep up to date by having some uninterrupted hands on time.

Winter is Here... and soon our new classes will be too!

As our current class session comes to a close, so begins the planning and organizing for the next session. Our next series of classes will begin in January, with sale weekend being January 13, 14 & 15! If you sign up during those dates, class fees are 20% off as well as anything else you buy those days.

We do open sign up for classes on January 1st, but no discounts until the sale weekend! I know there are a few of you out there that like to sign up for Karen's doll classes ahead of time, which is perfectly okay,  because we all know how fast they fill up!

With our wonderful new website up and running, we will have class photos, descriptions and price information posted on January 1st so you can plan out your January through April sewing life! In the mean time, if there are any classes you would like to see please let us know so we can find a teacher who might like to take on a new class! Or if you are interested in teaching at Seams Like Home, email us at info@akseams.com so we can get you a teacher packet to fill out.

As this session winds down, don't forget there are a few classes that have yet to start so there are still opportunities to sign up and try out a new class or technique.

We are excited about the fun, new projects and tutorials we will be able to bring you through our blog. Keep an eye out for tutorials on anything from at home maintenance on your machine to tricks on how to sew the perfect binding (well maybe not perfect, but pretty close).  

This week Sara, our Education Manager is working on a couple fun new project to bring to you next class quarter, so stay tuned to find out what those will be!

Angelyn, our Sales Manager has just received some exciting information on Bernina Machine specials from corporate Bernina, so she will be releasing that information next week. So if you or someone you know has been good this year, and has a sewing machine on their Christmas list come by and see if Santa's elves (thats us!) can help you pick one out for them!

And I (Enjoli) am our Service Manager, which means that I get the pleasure of overseeing and helping service our wonderful Bernina machines. So if you are a Bernina owner and are busily working on Christmas presents, remember that on December 26th you can bring your baby in for some much needed TLC and cleaning!
